Dr. Zashin enjoys spending time with patients and finds each person’s situation interesting whether it is due to a common type of arthritis or something more unusual. A patient’s time is respected, and it is a priority of the office to see you within 15 minutes of your scheduled appointment.
Insurance. Although Dr. Zashin does not
participate in insurance plans or Medicare at this time, we will contact your insurer to help determine what out-of-network benefits are available to you. As a courtesy, we also file insurance claims on your behalf for many health care plans.
New Patient Information Packet. Before your first visit, we’ll ask you to review and complete a New Patient Information Packet. You can download it
here in PDF format. Or, we can mail or fax a copy to you. You’ll need to fill out and bring this packet to your first appointment.
Your First Visit. Allow 75 minutes for your first appointment. Your appointment may be longer or shorter depending upon the discussion and any questions you may have for Dr. Zashin. If you haven’t yet filled out the New Patient Information Packet, plan to arrive 30-45 minutes before your appointment to complete this paperwork.
Your appointment begins in Dr. Zashin’s office, where you will talk about your medical history, and your treatment goals. You’ll then go to an exam room, where you’ll meet some of our nursing staff. Dr. Zashin will join you and complete a physical assessment of your joints.
He may order X-rays and lab tests, which are done in the office. Finally, you and Dr. Zashin will talk about his observations and treatment options. He welcomes your questions about your symptoms and treatment concerns and goals.
Within one week, Dr. Zashin will personally call you to discuss the results of your lab tests. Please do not hesitate to call us if you have not received a call or letter within 10 days of any test ordered by Dr. Zashin. Of course, you should
call the office any time you have a concern or question about your treatment, or if your symptoms change or worsen.
Follow-Up Visits. Established patients are seen in the Dallas office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and in the
Plano office one Wednesday a month, from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The Dallas office is closed on Wednesday. Allow 30 minutes for your follow-up visits. Your appointment may be longer or shorter depending upon questions you have for Dr. Zashin.
